Our team doesn’t participate in as many styled shoots as we used to. In fact, when Katelyn reached out and asked me to plan & style her June workshop, it was the FIRST shoot we had done in 9 months!!!! I didn’t know it at the time but by asking me to take part in her shoot, she gave me the GREATEST gift!! Y’all, I forgot how much I MISS planning & styling shoots!!!! And planning & styling shoots for WORKSHOPS are my FAVORITE of all!!:)
Katelyn said she wanted a shoot with lots of lush green, and then she gave me true creative freedom on the direction of the shoot. That is also a HUGE gift as a stylist so other photographers, definitely take note of that!!:) I immediately reached out to Lauren of Ginger & Blooms for the flowers, and we quickly began to put together our dream shoot!
I knew I wanted to mix cool, modern pieces with warm, southern charm. If you know Katelyn, you know she LOVES her Southern brides … and we love them too here at DSE!!! I wanted to combine our love for the south with metal, marble & pops of mint. I loved using Katelyn’s own farm-table and I borrowed Emily’s metal chairs!
Enjoy my favorites & a big thanks to Love & Lavender for the feature!:)
